Requirement

The project required a solar generator station designed for mobility as well as power generation. The station had to be transportable, collapsible and containable, and deliverable by truck within defined maximum weight limits, while remaining suitable for deployment in desert conditions.

Client

The client, a leading Egyptian provider of electro-mechanical and tailored energy solutions to the oil and gas sector, engaged One Stack as its manufacturing partner to engineer and produce the station’s structural and storage components.

Scope

One Stack’s scope covered two core elements. The first was the steel foundation on which the station is mounted, engineered to the exact dimensions of the solar panels and fitted with adjustable mounting brackets to hold each panel at the required angle. The second was the battery enclosure, which stores the energy generated by the panels for later use. As the battery had been specified by the client in advance, the enclosure was designed around that selection, with dimensions matched to it.

Process

The project followed a structured engineering process. A technical drawing was developed against the defined requirements, followed by material selection and approval in line with the standards applicable to oil and gas projects. Finite element analysis was then conducted to evaluate the design under static and dynamic stress and to confirm that it was optimized to meet all requirements. Fabrication and welding were carried out under quality control at each stage, and the initial sample was assessed against the specifications and refined where necessary.

Outcome

The resulting designs were approved, enabling continuous production of the station. The final product meets the defined requirements for transportability, collapsibility, containment and maximum delivery weight.

The project demonstrates One Stack’s capability to operate as an industrial partner rather than a fabrication supplier: engineering to the requirement, validating the design before production, controlling quality throughout manufacturing, and delivering consistently at production scale.
